Murwillumbah Rotaract meets on 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month, 7pm at The Haven Bar. 2015 President Rhiannon writes about what the club got up to towards the end of the year:
We hosted a meat tray raffle for the Rotary Hat Day.
We donated $300 to Blake Coleton who is 18, last year he was in a motor cross accident and left paraplegic. In January next year he will be traveling to South America for his second round of steam cell treatment which involves a cost of over $50,000.
We hosted a Christmas Trivia night fundraiser.
We entered a team in the Rotary Billy Cart Derby.
We have donated food to the Feed Our Farmers appeal which makes food hampers up for farmers who have been affected by drought in areas like Lighting Ridge.
