A message to Rotaract Australia from the RAM National Project Funding Co-ordinator:
I have just opened my e-mails to find advice that you have deposited the magnificent sum of $10,911.03 into the RAM account.
Your very generous and enthusiastic support for the work of RAM is much appreciated.
It was a pleasure to meet some of your team at the recent (August) RAM conference in Brisbane and I know that thanks were expressed at that time. On behalf of RAM I again wish to acknowledge our thanks for Rotaract’s generosity in providing such substantial support for our efforts.
As you know our program is moving on from one concentrating on the treated bed nets, which have proved so important in lowering the mortality and morbidity associated with malaria and is now encompassing emergency nets where needed, assisting the ddevelopmentof healthy villages, vector control, the provision of Rapid Diagnostic Test kits and a post graduate scholarship for a national from the Solomon Islands.
Your funds will do much to assist in our efforts to ensure the sustainability of the gains made and help lead to the elimination of the disease from some, at least, of our nearby endemic areas.
Kind regards, and best wishes,
Richmond Manyweathers OAM
